Precinct 5 Constable's Office donates truck to LACC Auction | Community Spirit
Released by The Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce:
LINDALE, TX (KLTV) - In April 2010, Deputy Mark Waters made a traffic stop on I-20 of a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup. During the traffic stop Deputy Waters located contraband inside the dash of the truck. The vehicle was taken to Precinct 5 Constable Dennis Taylor's Office in Lindale. Nine bundles of US Currency were removed from inside of the dash with the assistance of P & O Wrecker Service. The vehicle was later towed and stored in Lindale. Following the investigation the vehicle was abandoned and never claimed by the defendants. P & O Wrecker Service donated the truck back to Precinct 5 Constable Dennis Taylor's Office. Constable Taylor felt the vehicle would better benefit the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce and therefore donated the vehicle to the organization.
The Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has accepted the vehicle from Precinct 5 Constable Dennis Taylor's Office and will be auctioning it off at this year's Annual Banquet on Monday, April 18th.
