Saturday, October 13, 2012, the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce will host the biggest Country Fest ever.  Since 1985, Lindale’s Country Fest has continued to entertain thousands of visitors and residents, with arts and crafts, games for the kids, great food, live entertainment, and much more!  Each and every year added variety is given to the expanding crowds. So get up early and stay late, because you are all invited to Lindale for the day! 

 It all starts downtown Lindale with a pancake breakfast, sponsored by the First United Methodist Church at 7:00 a. m. Ticket prices for breakfast: $4.00 Adult, $2.50 Children, and $12.00 Family. Scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. will be one of the largest parades in East Texas. Traveling through downtown led by the Pride of Lindale, the Lindale High School Marching Band will be entries made up of dignitaries, floats, tractors, Shrine motorcycles, midget cars, clowns, horses, fire engines and much more.

Follow the parade to Eagle Spirit Drive and Hwy 69 where you can stroll through the arts and craft booths, gobble a turkey leg and funnel cake while listening to first class entertainment provided by Bank Texas Lindale. Children will spend the day at a variety of activities including:  The Lindale State Bank climbing wall, the FFA petting zoo, and Lindale Police Department’s Kid’s ID Booth. 

The Kiwanis will host a Silent Auction from 9:30 a.m. till 11:00. Then Kiwanis will begin a live auction, with numerous items being auctioned off from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Past auction items have included:  restaurant gift cards, merchant gift cards, jewelry, autographed memorabilia, and trips. 

Shrine Bull Fest will cap off the events at the Lindale Rodeo Arena on Hwy 16 W. at 6:00 p.m. Bull riding begins at 7:00 p.m. where you will see professional bull riders in action. Advanced tickets may be purchased at: Cavender's Boot City, in Tyler and Brookshire's, Kidd-Jones, and Fleming Farm & Ranch Supply, in Lindale. Tickets will also be sold at the gate.
